How to get Client Version Number?

Is there a way to get the Oracle Client version number using the OCI (v7) interface? I know I can use "select * from v$version" to get the SERVER version, but I'd like to know the client version number (8.1.5, 8.1.7, etc). Client platform is MS Windows/Visual C++ 6.
