Cleveland: DB2 and IDMS database systems programmer

Skills:

A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science is preferred. 7+ years experience. Must have working knowledge of MVS, JCL, SMPE system software installation, CICS command level language. As well as: DB2,  IDMS, REXX and Assembler. Experience with disaster recovery and local recovery is required along with strong system performance and tuning skills. Experience migrating to new software releases is a requirement. Experience with DB2 V7 or IDMS R15 is a plus, along with knowledge of MQ.

Description:

Responsible for providing analytical and technical expertise in the identification and solution of IDMS and DB2 systems problems.

 The focus of this role is to design and support the IDMS R14 and DB2 V6 systems software environment in a large multi-terabyte databases running on a multi-site IBM mainframe computer based systems.

The candidate will be part of a 5 member team who will begin to migrate the company to DB2 V7 in 2001.

Salary range: Gainsharing Target - 15% (means 0-30% bonus) Salary Target - 75-85K plus gainsharing
