I have set up an email Server (5.2) with one node (ESNODE) oracle version = 8.1.6
The domain is edpsman.com
The name of the mailer is 'ofcmail'
in the 'aliases' file are 6 entries.
suzy2:suzy2.ofcmail
ilse2:ilse2.ofcmail
.
If I try to send a mail using 'sendmail -v gert2', I can indeed send the mail.
When I try receive the mail using outlook express, I can receive it with no errors.
Also the ofcuto.log & <host>_postman01.log files are updated...
.
ofcuto.log:
.
10/03 14:39:24 48504 Queue 0 : Starting message processing... 10/03 14:39:24 48504 Queue 0 : Oracle Home is set to - /home/app/oracle/product/
8.1.7
e/queues/V817/inmailq/SMTP/1/0yLx7a.m
10/03 14:39:40 48504 Queue 1 : Removed file /home/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/offic
e/queues/V817/inmailq/SMTP/1/0yLx7a.m000
.
<host>_postman01.log
.
10/04 14:43:15 INF: Found 1 message(s) to deliver 10/04 14:43:15 INF: Delivered 1 local message(s)
.
When I try to receive mails, the <host>pop01.log is updated (no errors)
.
When I try to send a mail via outlook express (to gert2_at_edpsman.com) for example (with the correct smtp ip) I get NO error, and NO updates on both *postman* and ofcuto.log!
.
The trouble here ofcours is that I don't get ANY errors! Somewhere between outlook & express the message is maybe stuck, but where? Probably it's not yet in the database, because it seems even 'ofcuto' didn't see it!!
.
Another problem is that it takes very long to go from the 'ofcuto' (sendmail)
to the postman from oracle!?
Is there a reason for this, other than that the machine is maybe a little slow?
So, to summarize:

So, to summarize:
- mail sent via sendmail -v is sent fine! - receiving that mail via outlook express is also no problem - sending mail via outlook express produces no errors, but the mail is notreally sent (nothing added to ofcuto.log & *postman*) Please help me with this!
