net8 easy config java.exe error - brand new HP

Installing oracle8 client 8.0.5 (WinNt)

I have installed heaps of oracle8 client on Win 2000 before, (none on the
lated HP vectra until now)
All new HP VL400 866/128/20 machines(we have), with win2000 installed have a
problem

java.exe has generated erros and will be closed by windows. You will need to [Quoted] restart the program.
Has anyone come across this error before?
