Just curious why you think this feature won't help in general. Maybe you can email me off-line. But creating a tablespace, setting the retention time and you're done seems a lot better than worrying about TX table concurrency, snapshot too old etc etc. There is even a view that keeps track of how much undo space has been used every 5 mins (or 20 mins) and you can watch that for a day and figure out your retention time if you're not sure how to set it Received on Sat Jul 28 2001 - 01:37:08 CEST
