Thanks for the info.

I'm bit of a newbie to Oracle, but looking at an earlier post in this NG, I set the NLS_LANG to UTF8 in the registry on my NT Client. NLS_LANG is in two places:

hklm\software\oracle\

and

hklm\software\oracle\all_homes\id0

Both these values were previously set to NA.

My question - is this the right place to make the changes as the export is still using US7ASCII.
