You are trying to install Oracle8i release 2 (version 8.1.6) or above for Windows NT/2000 on that Windows 2000 machine correct?

Versions prior to 816 -- not supported on that operating system

Software designed for win95 or win98 -- not designed to be installed on that operating system.
