Hi,

I tried to install Oracle 9i Application Server on Windows NT, the database is Oracle 8.1.7.0.0 on Linux 7.1.

The Windows NT installation is fine with no reported errors but when I try and intstall the portal objects using the wizard it comes up with an error in the log. The error is ORA-00604: Error occurred at recursive SQL Level 1, after attempting another installation it gives a general ORA-00600 error.

The installation I am trying to do is just for the minimum edition and I have attempted the installation a few times, clearing everything before I restart. I noticed that one other person had the same error on metalink but Oracle have not replied to the 'bug' as yet.

The first errors I recieved were to do with the large pool size being to small etc. So I increased the shared pool size to 65 MB, Java pool size to 25 MB and large pool size to 45 MB. I don't get any complaints about the memory anymore but I don't know what the problem is.

If anyone has an idea can you please let me know.

Thankyou.
