Designer 6i - How to add the calendar to a date item

We would like to add the Calendar LOV to all our date type items for forms generation using Designer 6i. The help for this is a bit vague and was hoping I could get some step-by-step help here.

I understand that an object library needs to be added during the generation and the Calendar window added to the template form. But I don't quite understand what to do beyond this.
