Hey.

I'm developing against an Oracle 8i db. The server and other clients are all running Win2k/NT4, but I would really love to develop from my linux workstation. But, as you may have guessed, we only have the client software for MS Windows. My question (questions, actually) is therefore,

    [Quoted]
  1. Is there any way to connect to a server without the client software?
  2. If not, can you download the client from the net (I know Oracle makes some software avaiable)?
  3. If not, does there exist an alternate (Open Source?) method of connecting to Oracle?

Thanks in advance
