which JDK version should I use?

I'm trying to get Oracle Portal to work, but when I try to access any pages, I get errors. In my jserv.log I get the following error:

I think the version of JDK that I use is inncorrect - there is no HashMap.class
in it.
I also had to comment one line in Jserv properties:
wrapper.classpath=/opt/oracle/OraApp/Apache/jdk/lib/tools.jar
because I don't have tools.jar file.
So - what version should I use?
I'm using RedHat Linux if it helps
