No result from Oracle Browser

I've just upgraded a couple of databases from 7.3.4 to 8.0.6, and a few users crawled out of the woodwork who were using Oracle Browser to run strange little queries.
Since I moved to the new server version, they never get a result window when they input a query saved on their filesystem. (Everything is Solaris BTW) The browser version is 2.0.11.6.0. I have not loaded any of the browser product tables, and the documentation says I don't need to for purely read only stuff.
