Run form6i against 8i dbms on the same machine

Hi,
[Quoted] I have Oracle 8.1.6 Enterprise Edition and Form6i on the NT machine. The oracle home for dbms is c:\oralce\ora8i. The Forms home directory is c:oracle\form6i (the installer does not allow both Forms6i and DBMS on the same directory). I can access the 8i database using SQLPlus of the DBMS. But I cannot access the 8i database from the Forms client SQLplus, i.e. I cannot run Forms against the dbms. I read about the need of changing some setting in the server's and client's tnsnames.ora But I do not know how.
please help.
