Loading images into a table

Hello,
Iā€™m a relative newbie to Oracle, and want to load some images into a table to be used on a form canvas. Iā€™ve created a table with a raw long column and tried to load an image using SQL*LOADER -- and it fails.
Can anyone tell me how to load image files to the database and/or give me an example of a working *ctl file? Any other advice on this subject would also be greatly appreciated.
