Hi all,

    I have a question for two about backing up a Oracle 7.3.4 database using Legato and EBU.
I'm using EBU 2.2.0.9.0 and Legato 5.5.2. When I run the backup from the Legato server using a group, the backup appears to work, ie I can see the datafiles being backed up. However, Legato returns a failed message. Now, when I run the backup from the oracle server (legato client) using a command line command, it works just fine. ex: of command line: $EBU_HOME/bin/obackup online_backup
This works just fine. The contents of the file online_backup is this: cat online_backup
backup online database
db_name = "OMTX4"
oracle_sid = "OMTX4"
log = "/oracle/home/app/oracle/product/7.3.4/obackup/log/omtx4.log" parallel=4

This is the same ebu script that legato calls from a scheduled backup. The only errors that I can find is from dmo.messages files in the /nsr/applogs directory. The contents of that file is this:
(8577) NSR-sbt: 02/22/01 14:22:04 Sbtopen: ret == 2
(10405) NSR-sbt: 02/22/01 14:40:09 index session start with
clandestine.admin.xxx.com failed for client secret.xxx.com: permission denied

Has anyone seen this before? Does anyone have any information that may help?

TIA,
