Forms6i and CLOB - displaying images

Hi, here is problem. I'm working on form which must display image stored in
a CLOB
field in a base (Oracle 8.0.5). I'm using image type field in Forms 6i. For
image type in Forms 6i it must be defined which type of image will be
displayed (gif, jfif ...) and this can't be changed at runtime - meaning all
images displayed on form must be the same type. Is there a way to avoid
this, using maybe JavaBeans or OCX.
