Runtime loading object into OLE container from filespec

Using Oracle 7.3.4, and Developer2000

[Quoted] I am using an OLE_container on a form to display a file coming from a file server (rather than a RAW LONG in the DB). At run-time I want to change the object in the OLE container according data related to the record being displayed. I want this update to be done automatically by supplying it a filepath+name. This seems to be possible manually (right click, choose Insert Object), though so far I can't find any function that allows me to do this directly in the program.
NB : The object type is not fixed

Any suggestions ?
