The Oracle client version is probably the issue. Each version of OO4O is linked against an specific client version. You couldn't take the version of the OO4O inProc server linked against and 8.1 client and make it work with an 8.0 client install. Use the earlier version (8.0) of OO4O for the 8.0 client (or upgrade the client).
