OK, the answer seems to be:
SQLEnvGet() and SQLSvcCtxGet() should work for User exits with Forms 6i
(6.0.8.11) and later.
I will try a quick test to confirm that it works with the 'supported' config (Pro*C 8.0.6). If not it is likely that substituting the 8.1.x SQLLIB in and relinking will fix it since the Forms 6i side supports this, but the Pro*C side implementation is not certain to work until release 8.1.x. In this case the two products have drifted out of sync a bit due to some rewriting of the underlying proprietary layers.
