Creating a java.sql.ResultSet from XML

I have been experimenting with the XSU111 package to generate a XML string from an OracleXMLQuery.
I would like to be able to do the reverse, take a string which contains XML which was emitted from the above and create a ResultSet that I can then traverse in the usual way.
I have been looking though all the documentation provided but cant see anything that seems to do that.
Anybody know the answer?
