[Quoted] You most likely didn't configure sqlnet (tnsnames.ora and listener.ora). Oracle comes with sample configuration files, which definitely don't reflect [Quoted] your host's name. This is the source of your 12203 error Please configure sqlnet using the net8 assistant.
