I would like to display a text column - in an Oracle Forms application - that is bigger than 8k (whatever the limit of VARCHAR2) is. I used Designer (Version 6) to define the entity/table, the column in question is of type "text". The Forms binary to display the column should also be generated by Designer.

By default, Oracle defines that column as LONG. I understand that LONG is going to vanish in some future. Is there a way to twist Designer to work with CLOB instead?

Your help would be appreciated Received on Sun Oct 29 2000 - 19:43:46 CET
