It seams, the only way this works is if you happen to have installed Oracle8i over top of an older database. This way you end up with [Quoted] a machine that has both versions of the import and export utilites on it. I [Quoted] tried copying executables and dlls from one machine to the other to no end. [Quoted] Doing clean installs makes this not easily possible. I also find that import and export can't connect to another machine to do it's export. So, we found we were screwed again.

I also ran the script that creates the old data dictionary views on 8i. No [Quoted] luck, had to switch to 8i cold turkey.
