Greetings!

I am asking a question here for a friend who doesn't have access to newgroups.

I am a Chemist so I might be wrong when stating the problem. Also, please respond by emial to leo_at_nmr.chem.ohiou.edu since I don't read this group.

He is not an oracle form developer and was asked to make some changes to their application. They use the F8 key for accepting user input. However, if F8 is pressed before a key field is filled it will display info that's not what he wanted. He is asked to make sure when F8 is pressed it will check this key field, if not filled, then do nothing.

It might be a trival thing to do for you gurus but to him, it means a lot of reading and a lot of time.

Thanks in advance!
