WebDB LOV as popup in Master-Details Form

I have created a dynamic LOV, with the default style set to "popup". It works fine from the test screen. I would like to use this LOV in the details section of a Master-Details form. However, it appears as a dropdown list, and in the "Detail Row Formatting" screen, there is no way to explicitly set a style.
Any hints?
