Hi,

[Quoted] I've installed the repository, but I would be interested in seeing your scripts in case I need to do it again. I did everything from DBA Studio, and so I wasn't able to script the process.

The registry thing is weird. I'm not familiar with win2k registry details, but I assume that registry keys can't be locked by processes? My guess is that I've got a minor corruption. I am definitely an admin on this machine.

So anyhow, I am not at the point where I need to create the repository from the admin tool, and it tells me that the Enterprise Edition option is not installed on my database. I am trying to use 8i Personal Edition because I am running on a laptop, even though the docs specify that Standard or EE are the only supported db installations. Can I add this option to PE or do I have to use SE after all?

Thanks, and sorry for all the newbie questions,

Ian
