Re: Designer 6i requires Enterprise Server?

Just as an update, I did find a part in the documentation that refered to the limitation I came across:

In the Client-side Installation -> Preliminary information:

This is an unfortunate restriction. So I guess I have to switch to Plan B. I intend to install Designer 6i and Oracle 8i Personal 8.1.5 on a Windows 2000 machine, then use that combination to create the DDL scripts to use on the Linux machine.

I know people have done the Designer/Personal combination succesfully with Designer 6, but has anyone done this with 6i? I'm going to follow the installation instructions with Designer 6i, but if anyone has any personal experiences, that would be appreciated.
