Re: ORA-12154

Have you tried to leave the Host field empty? PO8 has some defaults, and I think one of the is to register the default database, so that you wont have to specify the hostname.
Saves you configuring networks whereas everything is on one machine... ;) Nomore tns-12xxx errors.

Default logins:
sys/change_on_install (use for administrative tasks only) system/change on install (use for management tasks only) scott/tiger (if any demoes installed).

Use system to create more users.
