oracle 8i personal & developer 6.0 --- please help!!

This is my first time installing oracle and I'm getting conflict errors between developer & 8i ---> it tells me that they are incompatible.

I know that it is possible to get these two to work together because I found a page on TechNet explaining how to do it but I lost the page and can't find it again.

Any assistance would be appreciated. BTW my platform is Windows 2000.
