using 2 CPUs (say 400Mhz) , Sun Solaris 2.6, and JServlets - the question is
how many http ops/second should this configuration expect to handle?
Reading the Sun Performance book (referenced in the tuning guide) it appears that 1600 http ops/second should be achievable on this hardware. Our tests with servlets that simply reply with html produce less than 100 ops/second with pegged CPU utilization. Maybe it is the stock Oracle listener? Would Apache do much better?
