I find reports very powerful, and easy to use. I write all my own sql, and just use reports to query and format the data. I've been using 2.5 for years and now 6 is very good, excepting the few annoying bugs.
I'd be very interested if you can find a reporting tool which is significantly better than Oracle. All the others I've played with (though not much admittedly) I found very clumsy and unable to do any complicated reports.
