Developer 2000 call form

I am calling form B from form A. I will be making modifications in Form B, saving them and coming back to Form A (and pass a global variable to Form A if a condition is met in form B). I am not being able to save changes in Form B. The error message says that Form A unappied the changes.
Is the only way out of this is to save form A first before calling form B. Or is there another way out.
