How can I setup a this specific select in an LOV..??

From Designer 2000 v.6.
I need to call a function in a select statement.. in an LOV
Exemple : Select myfunction(hi.desc, hi.lang) Desc
From hello hi
Where ....
of course.. myfunction return a varchar2..
How can I setup designer to use this myfuntion in my select..
This should become a Record Group..
But i think we are limited in designer to do that..
