Using iFS to import XML formatted data

I am looking for detailed information/examples on storing XML files in an Oracle iFS filesystem and how I to specify in detail in which table the XML formatted data gets stored and what the relationships in between the tables are.
The Oracle Technology Network web pages only have some generic statements on importing XML formatted data into Oracle via iFS.
Any pointers/hints/examples will be much appreciated.
