Oracle iStore and Oracle 8i

Have a client that is interested in instatlling Oracle 8i and Oracle iStore as a front end on the Internet. Has anyone had any experience with either of the products? Are they stable enough to commit a customer based application to it?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
