Des 60 - Module Component API - Undeclared token item_uitype

I'm trying to generate (first try ever) a module component API for a very simple case (small table, few columns). I get the following messages. Oracle documents that error as an internal error that should normally never show. I don't see the file this error refers to, but the equivalent .tpx file.
If anyone's got any idea on what .tpl / .tps files are, what this token is, ...
