    Three things come to mind. First I installed and run OAS 4.0.7 under service pack 5. But you have to get the 4.0.7.1 patch from the Oracle ftp site and apply it after the install. Everything works fine, even though the combination is not officially certified by Oracle. Bye the way I also have 8.1.5 and OEM 2.0.4 on that machine just as you do.

    Second, When installing OAS you MUST shut down every Oracle process and service you can find. No other Oracle pieces should be running. And if the MSDTC service is running you should stop that as well.

    Third, OAS is going to stick a bunch of stuff in your path. Make sure the items currently in your path total no more than about 250 characters.
