I now have it working.
We have a setup where the reports server sits on one box and the oracle server is on another. Acrobat was only installed on the reports server side and not on the database server side, hence why it worked when using the reports cartridge. RUN_PRODUCT is a function of Dev 6, which was also on the database side. After installing Acrobat on the database side as well, the report output came out as PDF on screen via the web plug-in. The client does not need Acrobat installed.
Andy: Your suggestion worked but I wanted the output to come out to the users screen and not send it to file.
