Dear Robert

In a simple Test, the where-clause of the record-group WAS applied to the query. Perhaps this is different if the LOV is used for validation. I did my test by showing the LOV and then fetching the query out of the sga (with means of a tool like T.O.A.D). Perhaps this technique works in your case, too.
