A comrade gave me an installer that installed an Oracle 3.0 Lite db (runtime only), created an odbc dsn and allegedly installed the odbc driver.
I am running windows 98, but his installer was for win/nt.
My dsn looks fine. when I click the "Drivers" tab on the windows odbc
administrator, I do not see an Oracle Lite odbc driver.
The install log says that it installed driver ootod32.dll in
c:/windows/system (which I confirmed). It put the db in the correct
folder,
and then created c:/orant.
My questions are:
- can you even run Oracle Lite 3.0 on win98? The Oracle website only talks about win95 and NT.
- if ootod32.dll is the wrong odbc driver for win98, where can I get the correct one? I have crawled all over the Oracle website, and the only Oracle Lite downloads that I saw were for version 4.0.
thanks,
