unable to run precompiler

Hi
I tried and tried but nothing matters. I want to precompile a demo file which is
delivered with the installation packages. I work with Linux. I give the following statement on the command line "proc cppdemo1" I become the following error messages:
PCC-F-NOERRFILE unable to open errormessage file, facility PR2
