We develop a rather large system employing a job sceduler that handles any kind of task that can be defined in terms of executable program with arguments under Windows NT.
Every job can have a number of destinations assigned to it, this means the output is sent to these destinations, may it be a printer, email and fax.

These tasks have the ability to signal to the job sceduler that they do not want the output they a generating to be forwarded to above destinations. Say if a report finds out that there is nothing to report it can cancel its output instead of anoying the receipients by just sending an empty page with headers and footers.

Now to be able to do this I need to be able to let repors runtime return a specific error code to NT.

I have tried most anything i can think of but the codes i can generate may be generated as genuine errors in the report and cannot be used to signify the specific meaning I have in mind.

Can anyone here help me achieve this purpose ?

How do i get r30run32 return an error like -20999 to the calling proces ?

Any help will be greatly apreciated.

Greetings from Denmark
