Re: Downloading Personal Oracle for Windows 98

Personally, I wouldn't recommend using the Win98 version of Personal Oralce 8i. I recently installed it on my machine and have since decided to upgrade my machine to NT so I can reap the benefits of Personal Oracle 8i for NT. Nothing is wrong with the 98 version, but the difference in functionality between the two versions is night and day. Both versions cost the same amount but the NT version comes with numberous extras that you just can't run on a Win98 machine. I can't remember where I found it on Oracle's site, but there's a whitepaper that gives a side by side comparison of the two products. After reading it, I can't see why anyone would want the Win98 version. If you're serious about Oracle, I'd go the NT route.
