Hi Shin-Chi,

I cannot agree with Paul Dorsey when he says the certification tests are not a very good indicator of competence. I think that a Sylvan Prometric's OCP certificate is good enough to indicate your competence :-)

A few months ago I've passed 5 Sylvan Prometric certification exams on Oracle Developer (rel.2) track and I have to say that it wasn't easy at all. I have about 5 years of extensive working experience with Oracle Developer (former Developer/2000) and Oracle Designer (Designer/2000) and I know what I'm saying...

Each exam consist of 60 questions and you have only 90 minutes to answer them. They (Sylvan Prometric) will check your identification, so it isn't like an on-line certification on Tekmetrics site. And you cannot use anything during exam, excluding pen and piece of paper.

You should answer more than 77.5% questions to pass each exam. So you have to be well prepared anyway.

If I were employer I took OCP certification in hiring. Seriously enough. :-)

Take a look at http://education.oracle.com/certification/index.html

And remember: all recruiters like certificates! :-)

But you should to have a strong experience also...

Good Luck!
Valeri
