I have just finished an evaluation that included Quest's Instance Monitor and I/Watch. I am recommending both tools to my client. I was able to install both and get both running with just the help files ( which are excellent in my opinion ). I/Watch is very comprehensive and highlighted several problem areas within minutes of coming up.
My client has 12 - 14 boxes and 50 - 60 databases spread across them and 1 permanent DBA. This tool will enable him to monitor the databases without spending all of his time doing it manually.
I am not connected in any way with Quest Software
