I'm trying to load a file on NT into oracle 8.0.3. I've been doing this for a while. This weekend I kept getting an error when it went to write to the bad file (error 2). sql loader is creating the file but won't write to it. I tested this and created the file and put data into it no problem. Is there a line length limit on NT and sql loader?
The record is failing because one of the fields has data that is too long to fit in the column.
Has anyone seen this problem before?
I don't care about the error records if I don't specify a bad and discard file in my control file will sql loader stop trying to save the bad records.
