I tried the same thing myself. As far as i have been able to gather.
It is not possible to adjust the smartbar. The smartbar is only for
development purposes and is not a real toolbar/buttonbar.
I worked under designer 6 and could only adjust the fact whether the
smartbar was made visible.
So if anyone knows the trick?
