Unfortunately the screen buffer width/length are not the environment parameters that could be set with the SQL*Plus's SET command, hence they can't be set in the glogin.sql or login.sql.

[Quoted] Just to add to Joseph T's correct respond - the settings of this parameters is "remembered" also in SQL*Plus 3.3 (comes with Oracle7.3), at least in MSWin environment. It is recorded in the Plus33.ini, found on %PLUS33% directory.
