Reports Question

I seem to remember reading in this NG about a problem with Reports 3 where fields would disappear when a Report was closed and then re-opened. I can't remember details or if there was a workaround and one of my colleagues is experiencing the problem. Can anyone let me know if there's a way round this or do we just have to live with it?
