There is no classic solution, it depends on what you are doing (what is causing the mutating...).
It might be a circularity in DML statements and triggerign of table's triggers, it might be simply a matter of disabling a foreign key and controlling it on your application, or it might be a matter of design of your database or your application. Tell us a little bit more about the problem you are facing.
